This print features a reproduction of Harold Freedman's meticulously detailed muralĀ Australian military aircraft, Korean-Vietnam period - the last of five artworks commissioned by the Australian War Memorial during the late 1960s to adorn the original exhibition space in Aircraft Hall.

The story:

The murals were created to provide a pictorial record of Australian military aviation from 1909 to 1972. Changes in museology saw the murals covered over in 1998. Almost three decades later, the Memorial is working to restore these murals as part of the major redevelopment project.Ā
