The Story
Known to Commonwealth forces as the Kittyhawk, the Curtiss P40 was armed with six 12.7 mm machine guns and could carry up to 900 kgs of bombs. The P40 series saw extensive service in many theatres, including North Africa, Italy, China and the South Pacific.
This 1:72 scale plastic model kit includes RAAF markings for 80 Squadron, New Guinea, 1945 ("Cleopatra III" flown by Sqn Ldr Geoff Atherton, DFC).
