This miniature figurine depicts Corporal Cameron Baird, VC, MG in his combat gear, and was inspired by theĀ life-size bronze statue standing at Currumbin RSL. The statue was erected to honour the life and death of Cameron Baird, Australia's 100th recipient of the Victoria Cross, awarded for his heroic acts of valour and self-sacrificeĀ whilst serving in Afghanistan.
